Preparing for next season.

The 2007 season was exciting and rewarding. This year I put all of my focus on the BASS Elite Series and the BASS Majors. We started at Lake Amistad in Texas in March. The tournament trail will also take us to California, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, Virginia, Oklahoma, New York, Maryland, Arkansas and Florida.

My main goal this year was to qualify for the BASS Master Classic—and I am pleased to let all of you know that I did achieve this goal and will be competing at the Classic in February.

This will be my seventh Bassmaster Classic.I am very excited about going the tournament and representing all of my sponsors. My plan is to go for broke and try to win the Classic. Hopefully things will go well. The support I get from my family, friends and sponsors really makes a big difference. I am so grateful for all the encouragement and that my sponsors have such confidence in my abilities as a fisherman and in promoting their products. Thanks to all of you and I will see you at Lake Hartwell.

I am proud to be running another GE Silicone II wrapped Triton and look forward to the 2008 season.

We sure had a great time in 2007. I feel like my head was really in the game and I am pleases with my performance this year. Not only did the fishing go well… But I also fit in plenty of time for promotions, charity events and lots of time with the media.

I was highlighted on Bassmasters on ESPN for the California Delta and Lake Toho.I also had a five minute segment with my boat on the 5pm news in Syracuse for the Lake Oneida tournament.

Dear Mr. Chapman,
I want to wish you luck next year. I'll be watching for you on Old Hickory Lake next year. I noticed that was your best finish of the year. I only live about 10 minutes away form Old Hickory Lake. Would it be possible to get a signed photo of you? Thanks a million.

What particular type of lures, work best for Bass?
Does it make a difference if your fishing for Small Mouth or Large?

Brent....my dad, JR, would have been so very proud of you and what you've accomplished. Can remember when you were a little guy he would always shake his head and comment "I've never seen a kid as crazy about fishin' as Brent." Know it made him proud. Whenever your mom sends me stuff about you, always print it off and give it to my mom, Doc. Every time she says "whenever it was time to go home from the lake, Ronnie said he just wanted to cry, didn't want to go back home." Understand that in many ways. May God continue to bless you and your family along your journey....both in faith and in life.
