Fishing the Classic!
I can’t believe it is time to start the 2009 season. This fall really went by fast. Deer hunting was great and I love working on the land, but I am ready for the bass competitions and getting back in the swing of things. I am excited to put my focus on catching fish.

I have had many curveballs thrown my way the last month or two. The economy has changed for all of us and many companies are pulling advertising/sponsorship dollars. Bobbi and I have been working hard to get a new boat wrap…but we still have not confirmed anything. I am grateful to have many sponsors that still believe in me and the value of sponsoring a bass angler. I am loyal to these companies and appreciate everything they do for me.

The BASS Master Classic is at the Red River in Louisiana this February. I am excited. The Red River has been good to me in the past and I am hopeful that this Classic will be mine to win. This is my 8th time qualifying and I am hungry for the win!!

2009 looks good and I am ready!!! See you on the tournament trail.

Thanks for the positive message Marty!! I really am blessed to live the dream. My 3 and 5 year old seem to be following in my footsteps (total outdoor kids.) I hope I can do KC proud at the Classic.

Brent, I will be watching and cheering you on in 2009! I live in Olathe,KS and love to fish myself. I hope to spend time teaching my 2 and 5 year old boys to love the outdoors and hopefully the sport of fishing? On the weekends I live vicariously through watching you pros catch awesome bass and wishing it was me! Enjoy what you have Brent! It is very neat to see a local do so well against the caliber of a KVD or Skeet Reese. Congrats on your success and keep climbing for the top spot may the lord bless you and your family in 2009!
